This week, pickleball pro Tyler Loong posted a video showing a beautiful new indoor pickleball facility touted as the largest indoor facility devoted exclusively to pickleball in the world. The facility, which is expected to open this month, is located in Orem, Utah. It will contain 15 courts.

A review of the site’s website shows that rates will be reasonable. The top tier of membership — Diamond — costs $40 per month. On top of that, Diamond members will pay $2.00 per person per hour during standard hours (10 am to 5 pm) and $3.50 per person per hour during prime time hours (5 am to 10 am and 5 pm to 10 pm).

Facilities such as this will help grow the sport in locations such as Orem that have harsh winter weather. We believe there is enormous demand for such facilities, provided that rates are affordable. In Colorado Springs, for example, a one-court indoor facility called The Warehouse is fully booked every day, 7 days a week, through winter except early in the morning and late at night. The Warehouse charges $5 per person per hour during the winter.

We hope to see more indoor pickleball facilities cropping up throughout the nation.

Update (Jan. 11): According to a follow-up video, the facility has registered nearly 600 members, and will open on Tuesday Jan. 12:
