USAP official Mark Peifer doesn’t rule out the possibility of banning the one-handed spin serve in mid-2022
"We will watch this closely."

The chainsaw serve will be banned at the end of end of the year, but in 2022 some players will be using a one-handed version that’s just as effective as the chainsaw, if not more so.

One Facebook user, citing “fairly reliable sources” said the one-handed version of the spin serve will probably be banned in mid-2022. Dinkheads reached out to Mark Peifer, chairman of USAP’s Rules Committee, to ask him for comment. His reply:

“We will watch this very closely. If it gets out of hand, then yes; it’s always a possibility we could take mid year action. But that’s a far cry from saying it will ‘probably’ go away.”
